Judge orders Marilyn Mosby to forfeit Florida condo ahead of sentencing

BALTIMORE — A federal judge ordered former Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby to forfeit her condo on Longboat Key, Florida, during a forfeiture hearing Thursday morning.

Judgment comes after Mosby Found guilty Perjury and mortgage fraud. Prosecutors said he lied about withdrawing a vacation home mortgage and a Covid-related hardship from his retirement account.

Mosby’s attorneys said he rented out the condo for extra income. Now, the government says Mosby will lose 90% of its revenue to the federal government.

The judge said Mosby couldn’t get a mortgage without one Wrong gift letter. In the letter, prosecutors say she improperly deposited $5,000 into her husband’s bank account.

Mosby’s sentence, It started on Thursday morning.
