-

* Flood Watch Valid today from noon to 10 pm*

A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

4/10: Although we still need rain, too early could be a problem this afternoon. At least the storms cool us down.

  • Today: Several storms with heavy rain are likely. Highs: Mid 80s.
  • Tonight: Prolonged rain or storm. Lows: Upper 60s to near 70s.
  • Tomorrow: Partly sunny. Not wet. Isolated showers? Highs: Mid 80s.

After several days of scattered severe storms, today should bring more rain and storms, especially this afternoon. Heavy rains may cause flash floods in some places. By tomorrow, we’re only looking at a chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm, with drier weather expected Tuesday and Wednesday as another heat wave approaches.

Today (Sunday): It’s another warm and humid start to the 70s. Temperatures will climb into the mid-80s in the afternoon under mostly cloudy skies. An isolated shower is possible in the morning. But several showers and thunderstorms between 6pm and 6pm will drop temperatures from west to east into the 70s. The rain will last for an hour or two in any flood-prone areas. Some places may see 1 to 3 inches of rain, while others may see less. A few storms may also produce damaging winds. Confidence: Medium High

Tonight: After 6 p.m., widespread showers and storms are possible during the evening and overnight hours. Low 60s to 70s. Confidence: Medium
