Adele stopped her show in Las Vegas on Saturday night to berate a policeman who was “disturbing” the audience.
According to Video In the incident shared on social media, Adele was in the middle of singing “Water Under the Bridge” and stopped the music to ask the audience what was going on at a certain concert that was standing.
“What’s going on over there with that young fan who’s been so bothered to stand up since I arrived? What is happening to him?” she asked.
The singer, who is performing her “Weekends with Adele” concert at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, told one audience member in particular, “Yes, you, raise your hand, yes you! Raise your hand up. You, no you, yes, with a stick in your hand. Yes, he is.”
Then she asked the security, “What are you doing? Why are you all bothering him? Can you please leave him alone?”
She said to the man, “They won’t bother you anymore, dear. You enjoy the show. “Leave him alone,” she told security again.
Adele filled the crowd in on what happened, saying, “Sorry, guys. He was disturbed the whole show by security and other people sitting behind him. He’s here to have fun. You’re all here to have fun.
She began “Water Under the Bridge” again.
Adele isn’t the first actor to notice a bodyguard being a bit harsh. In May, Taylor Swift yelled at security during a performance, “She’s fine!” and “She didn’t do anything!”
