FirstEnergy is asking customers to conserve electricity

Cleveland (WJW) – First energy This holiday weekend calls for help conserving energy as temperatures settle Below freezing across Ohio.

“PJM Interconnection, the electricity grid operator for the region, is asking customers to take proactive measures to conserve electricity until 10am tomorrow, December 25,” FirstEnergy said in a statement, adding that energy usage has increased during this time due to the weather. The AEP made similar recommendations, but did not specifically mention holiday lights in their report, saying only to turn off “non-essential electrical lights.”
